Leftists harass Muslims for supporting Germany
Here is an interesting article concerning immigrant support for Germany's soccer team in the World Cup. Of course, this sign of potential integration is viciously opposed by leftists. Can we go ahead and start calling them racist now?

But there is no one hiring on my street!
In what is billed as "controversial plans", the British government is going to attempt to shift the work shy and professionally unemployed to areas of the country where, *gasp*, they might have a chance to trade in their days of sofa surfing for a shiny new job. The plan is to
"encourage jobless people living in council houses to move out of unemployment blackspots to homes in other areas, perhaps hundreds of miles away."
But They've been unsuccessfully looking for work everywhere: their bathroom, their refrigerator, their breakfast nook, the bar down the street, the bar up the street. Literally, everywhere! Since jobs are not plentiful in these locations, why should they be forced to leave their comfort zone to join the workforce? Is it not every man's right to have money delivered to his home in regular installments for work done and work not done? What is this world coming to?
Dirty Dozen vs. Dirty 672 grams?
In response to the problems that ail the average European citizen, the EU parliament has sprung into action and banned selling eggs and rolls by the number.
"The new rules will mean that instead of packaging telling shoppers a box contains six eggs, it will show the weight in grams of the eggs inside, for example 372 g."
Thus the glorious metric weights and measures of the people snatches another victory from the imperial capitalists who count their eggs to oppress the downtrodden proletariat.

Guilty: Jewish in the first degree
While the economic situation in Europe has taken precedence over issues of integration or the lack thereof, don't think that it has disappeared entirely. Here is a video report from a Dutch Jewish organization entitled "Yarmulke, threats, and hidden camera" which is rather self explanatory. The story is about the daily intimidation and threats that Jews face while walking through Amsterdam. For the report, a Rabbi and two students walk through the city, *gasp* while wearing a kippa. Obviously, many of the "youths" of Amsterdam consider the existence of Jews a provocation and react accordingly.
While subtitles in English are not available, I will provide a play by play.
2:00: The announcer points out that it doesn't take long before they have their first "incident" of the day.
2:30: A group of "youths" laugh as they walk by and one gives a Hitler salute.
3:05: Here is where I will plagiarize Mark Steyn. "What's that word again?" You guessed it: Youths.
3:20: Doedi explains that he always remains alert when walking through the city. I suppose I would too if half of the people under the age of 25 would gladly use me as kindling.
3:30: A Moroccan honks his horn and yells out "Go back to your own country", which is obviously ironic coming from a Moroccan in the Netherlands. Considering the high turnout for Geert Wilder's party, it seems many Dutch people would ask him to follow his own advice first. I'm sure they would even provide bus fare.
3:50: One Jewish student tells of experiences he has had on a bus, including the now famous "Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas" slur made famous during the war with Gaza in 2009. Of course this is a message of peace, love and understanding. It is a little known fact that in John Lennon's ode to utopian world peace, Imagine, this was in a verse that never made the final cut. Because, you know, it's a message of peace and shows a longing to integrate.
And just a side note; the Youths we are talking about here were in their forties. Ah, the youthful exuberance of a 45 year old Jew hater!
4:20: This is a new one to me. One youth calls out "Kankerjood" as they walk past. The best translation for this I can come up with is "Cancer Jew." At least they are creative.
4:45: Another incident with more of the youths of the city. The youths ask him if he is going to call the police. He asks why, and then turns and walks away. Then it gets interesting.
5:20: Is this a peace message? You be the judge. "Jood", by the way, means Jew.
6:00: Here we can start to see the psychological strain of living in such conditions. The word used here is "intimidating." That seems to be a bit of an understatement. I would have said "psychoterror resulting from an aggressive, imperialistic, nihilistic culture that is unable to live at peace with anyone due to a backwards mindset that should have been discarded before Columbus' crew every brought tobacco and syphillis back to the old country." But that's just me. Maybe my grasp of Dutch doesn't allow me to get nuance?
6:10: What was that word again? Jongen = boys = youths.
6:40: Here is a list of the registered complaints in the Netherlands. In the last 6 months. Keep in mind that these are only the ones that made it to the police. And, there are only 30,000 Jews in the Netherlands, 9,000 of which belong to a Jewish organization. Of these, my guess is that fewer than 1,000 would be considered Orthodox and "look" Jewish. These seems to be a widespread phenomena. I guess everyone wants to get in on the craze. Why should the youths of Amsterdam have all the fun when there is nothing to do in Wassernar and Middleburg on a Friday night?
7:30: Here is where the Rabbi gives a relatively calm reaction to the events. He says both that this behaviour is certainly not normal, and that they shouldn't accept it. He's half right. It is certainly unacceptable that Jewish Dutch citizens have to live like 3rd class citizens in their own country, fearful of being spotted. On the other hand, it is definitely the new normal. As you can see from the video, this has gone from an infrequent occurrence to something that happens every time a "visible" Jew is seen on the streets of Amsterdam.
If this video surprises you at all, please read and then reread Mark Steyn's "America Alone." And visit the Netherlands while you still can. It really was quite nice while it lasted.
Update: Reading through the comments section is enlightening. Apparently some people consider it a provocation to wear an Israeli shirt; in other words, don't look Jewish or you are to blame for the unwanted attention. This is where I would note the popularity of the clothing manufacturer Ken Velo, which is particularly loved by the "youth" of Europe. Ken Velo is an Israeli company; it is not the owner's name but means "Yes and No" in Hebrew.

Zombie again with another great post
Radicals, Islamists and Longshoremen blockade Israeli ship in Oakland I have to confess, I am a big Zombie fan. Although I have had some sleepless nights since being exposed to pictures of scrotal inflation, it is important for other Americans to see that extremism that exists in the Bay Area. It's a great post; read it all.

Spain has got some 'splainin' to do
Word is out that the a bailout for Spain is being discussed at the current EU summit. Spain's resident clown in chief has said this absolutely isn't true, but then he is also saying there are no liquidity problems which is demonstrably false.
I wonder who will be the first to jump off or be tossed overboard from the sinking monetary union?
New reason for disagreement
After deciding that it was impossible to label everyone who disagrees with the President a racist, CNN has a novel take on things; Apparently, the problem now is that we are just not smart enough. Maybe if all of these hillbillies could read and write, they would fall in line? This is an epic fail.

Some rather unsettling news
Here is a wonderfully cheery piece of news from the Daily Mail. Apparently, Jose Manuel Barroso has warned that the debt crisis could lead to a "loss of democracy" in Greece, Spain, and Portugal. Keep in mind that the EU has been lecturing their backwards American cousins for years, meaning that there is a bit of irony to be enjoyed here before hiding under your couch.
"Mr. Monks, now head of the European TUC, said ... "Look, if they do not carry out these austerity packages, these countries could virtually disappear in the way that we know them as democracies. They've got no choice, this is it.""
Anybody in the mood for another round of "overtax and spend more?" Anybody?

The life and times of Forest Gumpidopolous
A recent LA Times article helps underline the "stupid is as stupid votes" mentality of young Greeks who are apparently enjoying a funemployment rate of around 25%. Unable to comprehend the fact that their sorry situation exists to subsidize their parents and grandparents lavish state benefits, they demand more of the same but this time with no negative consequences.
"Stefou believes that the government is bound to respond to her discontent. And she has suggestions: Greece should make up its budget shortfall by pulling its 122 troops from Afghanistan and levying steep taxes on the Orthodox Church rather than squeezing the workers, she says."
Yeah. That ought to do it. Nothing creates jobs like more new taxes. I guess the new slogan should be something like this if it is small enough to fit on a placard once translated into Greek; "Our parents and grandparents tried to screw us by using the state to mortgage our future to pay for handouts they couldn't afford, but we've got a better idea, like if you know, we join in with our grandparents and parents to screw the children we are not having, and then when the bill comes do no one will be around to pay for it and hey, uh, problem solved and death to the bankers."
Congressman Assaults Student on Washington Sidewalk
One of the scariest videos I've seen in a long time comes via Pajamas media courtesy of Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-NC.) Perhaps the best description of this video can be found here; "If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever," George Orwell.
Tax sluts on the strip
Unfortunately, I can't find the original post at No Pasarán, but I have to give them full credit for introducing me to Britain's resident tax whore, Richard Murphy at taxresearch.org.uk/blog. While anyone who could get his knickers wet talking about government mandated productivity penalties would probably draw more curious onlookers at a freak show than a three-balled bearded lady who can fart the national anthem, apparently this man really does love taxes. So much so in fact, that I wish he would keep both hands in full view on this short video on the joys of tax.
I saw the original post at No Pasarán months ago, but I have thought about how he could make his pining ode to taxes more "reality based." Somewhere at the two minute mark is where he should have added the following text.
"Taxes. We want more taxes to ensure that the work shy are able to sofa surf instead of joining the workforce, and even more taxes to ensure that business owners are no longer able to hire the unemployed anyway.
Taxes. Because the wealth that you create is not really yours until the government gets their cut.
Taxes, where the government gets not only the majority of your productive gains, but also gets to penalize your success or subsidize your neighbour's failures. Not only does the government get the first and greatest portion of your wealth before you have the opportunity to spend it on necessities like food, clothing, and shelter, but we get a further cut if you can purchase these items.
Taxes. They enable the government to spend your money on things you would never willingly purchase, like longer holidays and luxurious pensions for the state workers that enforce the tax code. That's right; we can take your money and use it to employ other people to force you to pay even more taxes.
Taxes. Do not worry if taxes make you too poor to sustain yourself; there must be someone somewhere who is even richer than you that we can force to pay for your needs after you are no longer able to.
Taxes. They take from you before you earn your income, cannibalize your actual income, and if there is any left over to invest or spend, they get a portion of that as well. The money is repeatedly taxed while you are living, and taxed again once you are dead.
Taxes. Because the common good overrides the individual good. Taxes are also where less than 50% of the money taken from productivity and consumption slated for the public good actually reaches the public. Most of the money is spent on maintaining the state apparatus, where workers enjoy a standard of living that is higher than average in the countries where they work, equalling in effect a transfer of wealth up the social ladder.
Taxes. Oh, yeah, Taxes. Lovely, lovely taxes. I'm gonna need a cigarette when I'm done. Dirty, dirty taxes."

Hatikva - The National Anthem of Israel
Contrast this to the pro-Israeli group singing Hatikva peacefully. Not once did anyone at this demonstration demonize or call for the destruction of any other states. Hmmmmm. Hat tip Danny.
Demonstration radikaler Muslime in Hamburg !
Here is the anti-Israeli contingent who are fully convinced that Israel is the worst country in the world. It doesn't take much time to realize the mood of the group by listening to their violent, extremist rhetoric. Hat tip Danny.

Red = Brown = Red
Here is an article on the uptick in left-wing violence in Germany. I'm not sure why anyone is surprised. Is anyone also surprised that these are the same people marching against Israel?
Israelis unwelcome in Madrid gay pride parade
Here is an interesting article at Ynetnews.com that says the planned Israeli bus in Madrid's gay pride parade is to be cancelled for fears it may cause embarrassment due to anti-Israeli protesters. No word is mentioned on whether or not the Saudi or Iranian delegations will increase the numbers to make up for the loss.
Just to tone down the snark, here is an article on gays hanging out in Iran.

Pilar Rahola: Jews with Six Arms
Here is a great article about European anti-Semitism. I suggest you read the whole thing despite the slightly wonky translation from Spanish to English. Here is a sampler:
"Because the left no longer has any ideas, only slogans. It no longer defends rights, but prejudices. And the greatest prejudice of all, is the one it has against Israel."

How cute... wait, what?
Wow, here is an anti-Israeli protester in Beirut with a little tyke dressed in a mock-suicide vest. My, they blow-up so fast.
